BREATHING
This new creation by Liam Warren explores the power of adaptation and possibly through his relationship to the world through the breath. BEATHING, a solo written and performed by Liam Warren with musician Hugo Mir-Vallette, draws on the aesthetic potential of breath, its materiality, through a liberating management of one's own physical and mental state.
Polymorphic body, sometimes spectral, the performer moves on a mirrored stage: his breaths, even in his spasms, are recorded live and spread throughout the space into an incessant and paroxysmal loop. Between exhaustion and resistance, the breath twists, multiplies and its intensity rises to a crescendo.
In this echo chamber, a new rhythm of breathing emerges, a new phase of empathy for the collective body.
